Trick art or as the French call it, trompe l’oiel, means to trick the eye. It’s an art technique that creates an optical illusion when seen by the viewer. If anyone has been in our school lobby, they’ve seen my big painting of many, many cows, that when looked at from afar, creates an image of one big cow. This is a form of trick art. The Boston museum, next to Kanayama station in Nagoya, is now showing an amazing collection of images that will certainly “trick” your eyes. Here’s me bungee jumping from the top of the Statue of Liberty!
