There are so many Ferris wheels in Japan. I often say the word “Ferris Wheel” but most Japanese people don’t know this word. A man named George Washington Gale Ferris made one of the first examples in 1893, therefore we call it a “Ferris Wheel”. Modern versions are also called “Observation Wheels”.
